This Week, You Should Know:

Our March 22 Family Night has been postponed.

Please check this website later for updates.

In collaboration with Mission Vista High School, Vista Magnet will offer an Introduction to Computer Science class after school in April and May. This high school level Computer Science class is open to all interested students, but space is limited. Interested families must attend a parent information meeting on March 20 or 23, from 3:30-4:15 pm in the VMMS library.

Starting next Monday,  the general contractor (Dick Miller Inc.) building the new downtown parking lot will setup traffic control in order to construct the necessary frontage improvements (pavers) on S Citrus Ave/E. Broadway.  The work will require the temporary closure of the southbound lane from the intersection of S. Citrus/E. Broadway to Eucalyptus Ave.  The northbound lane on S. Citrus between Eucalyptus and Vista Village will be open.  Contractor reported it will take 5 working days to complete.

AVID applications for the 2017-2018 school year will be due April 7th.  Please click here for student application form.

Important Instructions for Pick up and Drop off

Parents - please respect our neighboring businesses at the Rio Vista Professional Building, La Paloma parking lot, Civic Center and Citrus Avenue locations.  We have had many complaints about parents dropping off and/or picking up students at these locations, causing dangerous conditions for our youngsters and congestion for local businesses.   Also, do not pick up or drop off students in the Staff parking lot at the corner of Vista Village and Civic Center. Our safe, supervised drop off and pick up is at the Eucalyptus Avenue entrance to the school.  Thank you. Full info on our Pick up/Drop off page.
