Summer Learning Log - Avoid the summer slide!

Keep learning all summer long to avoid the summer slide: The summer slide is what happens when the skills students learn during the school year are lost or forgotten over the summer. When kids don't practice their skills during the summer months, they can fall behind by the time school starts again.

Summer Learning Log            Summer Learning Presentation

Instructions: Complete 2 or more of the activities on the Summer Learning Log, attach or email proof of your participation (certificate, ticket stub, picture, etc), get parent signatures, and turn in this form when you return to school in August to be entered in a drawing for prizes!

International Baccalaureate Mission

The International Baccalaureate® aims to develop inquiring, knowledgeable and caring young people who help to create a better and more peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect.  To this end the organization works with schools, governments and international organizations to develop challenging programmes of international education and rigorous assessment. These programmes encourage students across the world to become active, compassionate and lifelong learners who understand that other people, with their differences, can also be right.

Important Instructions for Pick up and Drop off

Parents - please respect our neighboring businesses at the Rio Vista Professional Building, La Paloma parking lot, Civic Center and Citrus Avenue locations.  We have had many complaints about parents dropping off and/or picking up students at these locations, causing dangerous conditions for our youngsters and congestion for local businesses.   Also, do not pick up or drop off students in the Staff parking lot at the corner of Vista Village and Civic Center. Our safe, supervised drop off and pick up is at the Eucalyptus Avenue entrance to the school.  Thank you. Full info on our Pick up/Drop off page.
